To the Pan Diaspora and Pan Historians. I am doing a compilation entitled, "Panorama Finals from 1963 to 2012".
This will be a mere 52 pages without photographs.
I want to pay tribute to all of the not so known arrangers, but my source of research is limited. This is why I need your help. You all may or may not know that only 67 different Steel Orchestras have made the Panorama Finals from 1963 through 2012. (12) have won, (13) have placed 2nd or 3rd and (42) have also ran. The arrangers and selections of the also rans, are what I need. For example who arranged for Wonderland, Sunland, Amboys, Blue Diamonds, Eastside Symphony, Birdsong, Fascinators, Flamingoes, Kintups, Melodians, Tornadoes, Stereophonics, to name a few of the also rans. I am in contact with Pan Trinbago and I know the arrangers for most of the non-mentioned, but the more the merrier. You can privately E Mail any info to my E mail which is, laventl@aol.com . If you do please use a catch word as the subject. You know we all get a lot junk mail from all over.
Sincerely and love peace and pan,
Ian Franklin

Thanks Mr. Cutty Marchan,
My research do not have Deltones as a finalist in 1974. If Deltones did make it to the finals, please advise. Research could have errors too (lol).
Siparia Deltones made it to 'the Big Yard'- Queens Park Savannah for the first time in 1974 with a Shadow tune called 'Prance'. The arranger was Cutty Marchan who was a guitarist with the Siparia Best Village group for quite a few years and also arranged for Deltones during the early 70's. He went to England in 1975 to study architecture on a government scholarship and Boogsie took over arranging for Deltones before Carlton Alexander who is still their present arranger.
Thank you Salah, Glenroy and Winston. I now wish that I had paid attention to the not so known over the years.
I am expecting word from Pan Trinbago soon but, I look forward to any further data from you all and the rest of the WST family.
Anyone out there have a video of the Brooklyn Panorama? I am hearing so much praise on Odie, my nephew second attempt with Despers USA, but I want to judge for myself.
It hurts me that panmen still cannot see the value of recordings for history. With all the technology of today, how come the finalists did not come together and hire an entity to tape the panorama. I got my first video camera in 1987 and anywhere pan is I am there.
Hi Ian,
Flamingoes in 1971 with "PP 99" got to the Finals placing 5th, Arranger was Tyrone Noreiga ...in 1972 they were the first band to play a Shadow song for the Panorama "Country Girl" but only got to the Semi- Final. they may have gotten to the Final again in 1973 with "Mas In May" the arranger again with these three years was Tyrone Noreiga.

This is a great project, Ian. I've always tried to list arrangers whenever posting videos, but sometimes its almost impossible to locate and verify that information, especially for the lesser known bands.
All these hard working arrangers deserve to be recognized for their contributions, not just the big names.
Hi Ian, This is such a "Great" Idea.I bought one of your book that have lots of valid info.I will e-mail you with some info.
My personal friend and also a good friend of your's Bobby Lennox Mohammed have some info.as well.
Take care,and keep "PAN" alive.
