Now that the carnival is over, could anyone say when will be the election of officers for the Central Executive of Pan Trinbago.  I heard from a reliable source that PTB has appealed the decision of the court, in the two matters they lost.  Is it that the current executive  is prolonging their stay at the top with a lot of unnecessary legal fees, and are just making attorneys 'RICH' at the expense of panmen/women? Is it true that in one instance where they withdrew the matter with Mr. Keith Simpson and he won that matter out right, they are now appealing that same matter?

Could some one in the know please advise??

Ah think "ole timers disease" stepping in boi, can someone refresh my memory, why is the court case  holding back the election, is it possible for the New Visionaries submit other people in the place of those rejected in order to get on with the election? It is evident that Diaz is using the courts to hold off the election, can anything be done about this? from where I sit it looks like Diaz is calling the shots and no one can stop him, the guy is even playing the courts. This man has too much power and the longer he stays at the top the more difficult it becomes to remove him.

We hear you, and do appreciate this support, however, we are not worn down and will definitely be continuing our work started last year. you will see certain things happening soon.

To the New Visionaries, don't let all the work you did last year go to waste, stay visable, let people know  the fight is still on and most of all don't let Diaz feel that he has worn you down, anywhere he turn he must see and hear you.

I've said it before the steelbands have to form a commitee to keep an eye on PanTrinbago. As we speak Diaz and his boys are sitting on millions of dollars to do what ever they want, no one knows the amount and like no one cares. The Government on the other hand keep giving them millions of T&T people tax dollars and not making sure  they they do the right thing with the profits, we have ah Banana Republic or wah?

Peter, that tall order of building the Headquarters if undertaken by Pan Trinbago themselves without assistance from anyone will be a BLESSING to Pan. This will be a step in the right direction for Pan and Pan Trinbago.

Does Pan Trinbago have to account to anybody first before they get another subvention. In other words they can just keep getting subventions and not account for the one before? Trevor, this is a MESS. I cant believe Pan people in T&T not interested in how their money(MILLIONS) is spent.

I agree with both Bertie and Cecil:

The begging and waiting for govt. to do your own job musy stop.  Nut hat will only happen when pan (individual steelbands), become financially independent and no longer need govt.handouts.  This is the challenge of the future -- to get to the point where you don't have to rely on any organisation or govt. to build PT headquarters (for example).

It's a tall order, but that is what it will take.

Hello Bertel, I would think the Pan Body should have that interest and desire to demand a Forensic Audit of Pan Trinbago Accounts. But if they are happy with been given strange excuses for Pan Trinbago never having money, They always have to borrow, and no one seems to care , then What?

I do not think that the Government will try to open this can of worms because it may affect them politically. But under the Freedom of Information Act., any information can be requested by any national. Pan Trinbago is given subventions by the state to manage the affairs of Pan Trinbago Ltd.

Trevor could the T&T Government order a Forensic Audit into the Pan Trinbago accounts, and why havent they done so as yet as a response to all the alledged corruption there?

The team comprising The New Visionaries, had no choice but to get legal intervention when Richard Forteau had his personal interpretation of whom a nominee was or was not, so, he excluded Denise Hernandez (ALL STARS), he said in the court that they were not Financial. B.S., He excluded Keith Simpson and said he was not a Delegate. Remember Keith resigned as a Trustee around June 2012. Keith had also sent a letter to PBL advising that ANY two members of his committee can represent the band as delegates, He also listed the names of his committee members. The Learned Judge awarded Pan Trinbago to pay cost in the amount of $14,000.00 each and an additional $5,000.00 each to both plaintiffs for legal fees. I do not want to read and spell to go through the judgement on this forum, but if anyone is interested they can request a copy from the courts. But, just as they have not told the Pan Body, How much was made on the "GREENS", my calculations have indicated that it can be around $11,000,000.00 to $12, 000,000.00. They can spend Pan People's money as they want.

I hope the Pan Body realizes that There is no Body, committee or corporation who can stand up to defend, interpret or clarify a matter once  a challenge is made against the administration of Pan Trinbago. I can assure in the absence of Accountability, Transparency and proper Professional Ethics, our Organisation will only remain marking time.

The present committee are obviously not Creative in encouraging bands to "LEARN to Fish" and stop this stupid, ignorant phrase been used constantly about "Eat ah food" by giving a Play out here and there, sometimes the quality of the music provided by some of these bands is so pathetic, it ridicules the moral fibre that men in the past made jail for, fought for and some even died.
