Some people have been crying out for who is Matt Potts and what has he done. Instead of answering every individual person, I have put together this statement of character of what I had accomplished during my time at Northern Illinois University and also added a section below about what I have done since graduating. I hope this helps answer some questions.

Cecil, you continue to be irresponsible and negligent in your responsibilities to our youth as an elder. Of course Mr. Potts has to show his credentials and character references before doing business within our community and with our youth. Are you mad? With something as valuable and personal as one's creative works and inventions, anything other than the most intense scrutinization would be criminal given the history our community has suffered in this arena. It was only recently that the great Pelham Goddard was telling me about music he had created that was being sold all over the place without him benefiting from it.
Cecil, our community is entering the entertainment business. show business, merchandising business and the music business. They are not entering entertainment friend, show-friend or the music friend. If you don't know what questions you should be asking, leave this alone. Don't go around giving open-end endorsements to things and people you know nothing about. There are many more important questions that a perspective business partner or associate has to ask the likes of a Mr. Potts or any relatively unknown party before becoming involved.
Cecil, you have more balls than Tiger Woods' private golf course. I did the same thing as Matt, after your rude, sarcastic, disrespectful responses to my posts. You obviously have a problem with my knowledge base, and rather than appreciate it, you let your childish ego take over. So I also declared my credentials, because of you; maybe you need to also "bow your head in shame". Unless, it's too big, and you are afraid to break your neck. GHOST. Enough with your witch-hunting!!! You are an authority over NO ONE on WST! At least, both Matt and I led by example; why not post your credentials, so we can ALL trust your "judgement" (And, yes, I LOVE to use quotations, and other forms of punctuation. Matt can you post your Statement of Character on the forum so that all could see, there is where you had to defend your Character. I have defended you from the start I would just like to see some members bow their heads in shame

Matt, your resume is very impressive, and provides insight as to your character. I hope that you are truly determined to become a part of the solution, in working with us, as we attempt to revive the steelband movement. Stay true to who you are, Matt; a "leader" ALWAYS goes against the grain, and do not be discouraged, for I think that the pan industry is better with you being a part of the fraternity.
