My heartfelt Condolences and that of the BP Renegades Steel Orchestra go out to the family and friends of the late Edwin Pouchet; as well as to his band, Silver Stars with whom Renegades sheared a close relationship. May you Rest In Peace Brother; I will always remember you as a sincere friend and an excellent steelband arranger and administrator.

Yes Marcus,

You are quite correct; you know your stuff. Also, Edwin was the third arranger to win with over the 96 percentile, 291 of 300=97% in 2010.  The first 2 are Leon Edwards' 293 of 300=97.67% in 1986 and Len Sharpe's 487 of 500=97.4% in 1987. Len Sharpe and Jit Samaroo both were in the 97% with their 2nd places in 1986 & 1987 respectively.

As a supporter of Silver Stars and a good friend and admirer of Edwin,I cringe of the thought that his passing did not make it into the media except a piece in Newsday which showed a picture of his brother and the error of naming his brother Junior as the one who started Silver Stars. When Edwin was approached to arrange for Katenjammers he would compose two tunes, one for them and the other for us.I'm almost sure their winnings came before 2011.Of all his great arrangements my favourite is Michael Jackson's Bad.
I always take comfort, when someone dear passes, in having in mind that as he leaves us here, there are others waiting to welcome him on the other.side. Condolences to the entire Silver Stars fraternity

From a trivial point of view Mr. Edwin Pouchet arranged winners at 8 various competitions from 2002 through 2012..

We tried yesterday but seemed to have failed:
Exodus' membership send our condolences to Christine and the children and of course to the other friends and family of Edwin and to the members of Silver Stars.
To have brought back a Band which was dormant for several years is an achievement in itself. To have brought it to the position which it has in fact reached,is even greater. And YOU,Edwin did that through your leadership and dedication and commitment.
May Your Soul Rest in the Bosom of Our Creator to Whom you have gone and to Whom ALL of us would one Day Return.
May Edwin's Wife Christine and children and Family and Friends be comforted at this very trying time.
