         Would you believe that 4 men who played on Desperadoes' Pizzicato Polka recording are still with the band today. Wilby, Tash and P'Jue only play for carnival, but Rupert, who is the brother of P'Jue, still play congas on the stageside. As a matter of fact Rupert is the only one in the world that played at all 49 panorama preliminaries and 45 of the 48 finals. He should be honoured by Pan Trinbago

          Thanks for sharing.  I must now release my treasures. The first one will be Desperadoes' 1967 winning performance at The Champs Of Champs Steel Orchestra Music Festival. Their reditions were,

"Palestra" and "The Merry Wives Of Windsor." I remember one of the ajudicators commentary.                        "If I were a millionaire, I would take this winning Steel Orchestra all over the world.  The arrangements were done by the late Mr. Raymond "Artie" Shaw.

1= Panam North Stars - Till . 2= Trinidad All Stars - Minuet In "G" . 3=Ebonites - Libesfrued . 4= Trinidad All Stars - Libestraum . 5= Invaders - Beautiful Dreamer . 6= Silver Stars - Elizabethen Serenade . 7= Trinidad All Stars - Bacarolle . 8= Dixie Land - Angus Dei . 9= Trinidad All Stars - Intermezzo . 10= Desperadoes - Pizzicato Polka .

Angus Dei is the Tune played by Dixie Land when they won the SteelBand Music Festival in 1960 . Just imagine that the SteelPan as an Instrument was just a Teenager when this recording was done . Genius I must say . Please excuse the Scratches .  Thanks .
