  • Steve,

Would you believe that 4 men who played on Desperadoes' Pizzicato Polka recording are still with the band today. Wilby, Tash and P'Jue only play for carnival, but Rupert, who is the brother of P'Jue, still play congas on the stageside. As a matter of fact Rupert is the only one in the world that played at all 49 panorama preliminaries and 45 of the 48 finals. He should be honoured by Pan Trinbago

  • Steve,

Thanks for sharing.  I must now release my treasures. The first one will be Desperadoes' 1967 winning performance at The Champs Of Champs Steel Orchestra Music Festival. Their reditions were,

"Palestra" and "The Merry Wives Of Windsor." I remember one of the ajudicators commentary.                        "If I were a millionaire, I would take this winning Steel Orchestra all over the world.  The arrangements were done by the late Mr. Raymond "Artie" Shaw.

  • This Beautiful Art Form known as "The Steel Pan" is music to The Soul, these Classical Tunes was indeed a pleasure to listen to. I enjoyed every tune and it boost my day, thanks for sharing Steve "Carter"K...........
